San Juan worms are another pattern all anglers should have. They are particularly effective after a hard rain that can wash worms into the river. We also fish the red ones as a chironomid larva, or blood worm, imitation in early spring in our favorite lakes. Our San Juan Worms all have wire ribbing that won't break after catching a few fish like those tied with just thread tend to do. Size 12.
