The Black Ska-Opper has it all. Black skaters simply catch fish and are easier for the fish to see during low light periods. With a bit of flash in the tail, a deer hair body topped with foam, and rubber legs, the Black Ska-Opper is a mandatory addition to the summer steelhead box. It stays on top all day long and makes a big wake on the surface. We like the 2 on bigger rivers and/or bigger fish like the Dean, Copper, Clearwater, Umpqua, etc. The size 4 seems more appropriate on smaller rivers and/or those with smaller steelhead like the Deschutes, Klickitat, Grand Ronde, etc.
