Waterworks-Lamson Arx S-Line Reels

Waterworks-Lamson

$439.99 - $499.99

The Waterworks-Lamson Arx S-Line reels are specifically designed for Spey and switch rods. The Arx S-Line reels are some of the best functioning Spey reels on the market for the cold, wet steelhead and salmon environment here in the Northwest.  A favorite of PPF's staff, these Arx reels get the job done when the grab you've been waiting for is on the other end of the line.

Waterworks-Lamson's new finish on the Arx S-Line reels is tough and durable but also beautiful.  With a champagne-silver finish and orange accent colors, the new Arx S-Line reels will look great on any rod.

The Arx reels feature a “full cage”, which means the spool is completely enclosed inside the reel frame for additional support. This is especially helpful for eliminating small diameter running lines (like monofilament running lines often used with Skagit/Scandi heads) from slipping into gaps between the spool and frame. It is also great for eliminating flex in the reel in heavy drag situations when putting heavy pressure on big fish. The full cage is cut away at the bottom of the reel to still allow palming of the reel for additional drag pressure when needed.

  • The drag knob and handle have no exposed gaps, eliminating thin running lines from getting caught on the reel.
  • Heavier than other top-end Waterworks reels for an ideal balance on Spey and Switch rods.
  • Waterworks-Lamson's famous sealed drag with conical drag element, perfectly suited to wet environments and keeps the drag pressure consistent in all conditions
