Our steelhead rivers in western Washington don't have a lot of bug life compared to good trout streams. Every once in a while a hatch comes off, however. This large brown mayfly stopped for Joe to take a cool photo while their steelhead pursuits continued. Joe Ewing Photo. March 2017.
