Winston Boron Microspey rods are smooth powerful rods with loads of feel. These rods are built with a "True Spey Taper" to load deep and recover extremely fast. They feel very representative of a single handed trout rod, with a compact upper and lower grip, but there will be no doubt that these are true Spey rods once you cast one! Winston Boron III Microspey rods have a generous grain window, and will cast a multitude of different lines. These rods excel with compact Skagit heads, but they'll bomb tight loops with a Scandi as well. The Winston Boron Microspey rods are great for streamers, soft hackles, and skating dries. If you love swinging flies for trout consider treating yourself to a Winston Microspey! Featuring Winston's classic "Winston Green" color in the blank, anodized aluminum down locking reel seat, highest grade cork, and chrome snake guides.

Here is what Winston Has to Say about their Boron III Microspey Rods

Our innovative BORON III TH MICROSPEY rods combine the power of a Spey rod and the finesse of a trout rod to add a new and exciting dimension to the sport. Featuring Boron III technology, these fast action rods excel in a range of Two-Handed situations, from covering big, broad rivers to dealing with tree-lined banks or demanding weather. They have a specialized grip that feels more trout rod than Spey, use slightly larger chrome guides than typical trout rods, and come with a larger tiptop that allows for the larger diameter of the spey style lines.
