Booby flies are very productive flies for fishing lakes. They float off the bottom and over the weeds when fished on a full sinking line. The Booby style flies have become very popular in the Pacific Northwest and Canada because of their effectiveness.
The Crystal Bristol Viva Booby is black with a peacock dubbing body, bright chartreuse tail and a touch of pearlescent flash. Trout won't be able to resist the helpless fly suspending just off the bottom and be ready to strip-set when any weight is felt on the end of the line.
