Balanced Leather Leech - Black & Chartreuse
The Balanced Leather Leech is typically fished suspended under a strike indicator for trout, panfish, and bass. The Black & Chartreuse Balanced Leather Leech uses a 90-degree jig hook and a bright, chartreuse colored bead to counterbalance the hook and keep the leech suspended in a horizontal position. The leather looking tail keeps the fly undulating like a leech. A floating strike indicator keeps the fly suspended in the fish's feeding zone and a gentle chop on the surface provides a subtle jigging action to the fly. Highly productive on trout but definitely give this a try for crappie, bass, and other panfish.
