Dancing Frog
If you like big deer hair poppers for bass like we do, the Dancing Frog is going to be right up your alley. The Dancing Frog isn't going to be fun to cast on a 6-weight rod because it is a larger fly, but it is great on a bass-style floating line, a 7-8 foot 20lb leader, and an 8wt rod. To keep the Dancing Frog floating high and landing soft all day, try Shimazaki Dry Shake Spray applied before your first cast. It is expensive but really does a great job on deer hair poppers.
The Dancing Frog is tied on a size 2 hook with a total length of approx. 4-inches from the eye of the hook to the end of the rubber strand tail. It has a double-strand monofilament weed guard.
