The Gunch - Peacock/Orange
The Gunch is a caddis dry fly with a thick wing of deer/elk and a peacock herl body. The Gunch is a great fly for imitating a variety of caddis species and would be a great dry fly for any summer day on the water on just about any river or stream.
The large size Gunch would be a good imitation for Traveling Sedge, a large caddis that hatches in lakes and zips across the lake surface where big trout eat them in a memorable swirl. The size 10 is probably the better bet if you're buying The Gunch for imitating Traveling Sedge.
