If you're heading to Alaska for silver salmon, you have to take a handful of these bad boys. The Foam Top Wog is the best of the "Poly Wog" style of silver salmon surface flies we have seen because it is easier to cast yet still makes lots of surface disturbance. Wake them across the surface with a floating line and wait for those hook noses to come out of the water and grab them. It won't get you the numbers of fish that subsurface methods will produce, but a silver on the surface is ten times the fun.
