This is a great fly for Pink Salmon (Humpies). Only found here at Pacific Fly Fishers, the Humpy Bug was created by PFF owner, Michael Bennett, for the sole purpose of chasing pink salmon in both the salt and the fresh water. Funny thing is that it also works for other species of salmon, steelhead, and the occasional sea-run cutthroat. Fish the Humpy Bug for Pink Salmon in the river either on a dead drift or on the swing. With either method it is best to give the fly a twitch or short strip every once in awhile to get the fly to "hop" through the presentation.
