Skinny Herring

Pacific Fly Fishers

The Skinny Herring was created by Capt. Ben Zander, Puget Sound cutthroat guide and PFF staff member. Ben says his idea behind the creation of the Skinny Herring is to have a very thin profile as fast moving baitfish do, yet have more flash than a natural. The blended flash coloring suggests a Pacific Herring but can also be used as a general bait pattern. This fly is very bright in the water.

Overall length 2.5 inches. Size 8 hook.
