The Thrift Shop Caddis is a fantastic imitation of a caddis pupa with some very realistic attributes. There is a bit of flash in the abdomen that represents the gasses that are expelled as a natural caddis is ascending to the surface to hatch. There is some hackle to represent legs and the antenna, an epoxy wing case that envelops the wing buds that protrude out of the fly, and a heavy tungsten bead to keep it in the strike zone. The Thrift Shop Caddis should definitely be in your box all summer long!
