Mud Bug - Olive
The Mud Bug - Olive is a crayfish imitating fly tied on a jig-style hook with a heavy tungsten head. Fish it in the rivers dead drift under an indicator for both trout and smallmouth. The Mud Bug will also be a great fly for carp when you need a quick descending fly in deeper water and the carp are looking for crawdads. Finally, we'll certainly be fishing the Mud Bug on some of our smallmouth lakes, crawling it on rocky bottoms on a full sinking line. Great fly!
The Mud Bug - Olive is tied on a size 6 jig-style hook. Total fly length is approximately 2.25 inches.
