Your rod and reel outfit starts out with the Echo Boost Blue fly rod. The Echo Boost Blue is a fast action rod that generates insanely fast line speed and absolutely eats up the RIO Elite Flats Pro fly line that we've included in the outfit. Testing this outfit out ourselves we were able to go from having 5 feet of fly line outside the rod tip to an easy 70 plus foot cast with one false cast with great accuracy. And if a cast lands off target you can pick up a lot of line and lay it back down easily with this setup. The reel we've chosen for this outfit was an easy decision for us. The outfit comes with a Redington Grande reel. A strong, fully machined anodized aluminum reel with a sealed, super strong, and super smooth drag, a ton of backing capacity and fast line pickup all for a great price!
Your reel will also come with backing and the line spooled up and ready to fish. We've included a 9' RIO Fluoroflex Bonefish/Saltwater leader, so all you need to do when your outfit arrives is tie a fly on and go fishing!

RIO's Bonefish/Saltwater Fluoroflex leaders are made of 100% fluorocarbon, and are the perfect solution for when fishing shallow, clear flats and for spooky bones, permit and reds. Each leader has high abrasion resistance and excellent tensile and knot strength and a long butt section that will turn over flies effortlessly. Fluorocarbon leaders are harder to see underwater for stealthy presentations. Fluorocarbon is also more dense than standard nylon leaders so they sink faster and tend to be more abrasion resistant. Scientific Anglers Backing
Your outfit will come with the perfect amount backing already loaded onto the reel and attached to your line. We only use the best knots to rig your setup. We use the Bimini Twist with a lock to form a loop then seal the knot with glue to then loop-to-loop connect your backing to the back of your fly line. More Info.

Echo Boost Blue Fly Rod - 10wt
The 10wt often finds itself on the flats as a good rod for large permit, jacks, barracuda, and medium sized tarpon, or larger triggerfish. If you're fishing for dorado a 10wt is also ideal for that. The 10wt Boost Blue can throw long casts consistently and will also have no problem turning over large baitfish flies in the wind, or flies with heavy dumbbell eyes.
