The all new Lamson Liquid S Reels for 2023. Lamson Liquid S reels are pressure cast aluminum reels, that utilize Lamson's same sealed drag system that they use in some of their higher end reels. For years and years Lamson Liquid reels have been a great value reel, and this latest version is by far the best they have ever been. The diameters and arbors are slightly larger than the previous version, allowing for faster line pickup. These Liquid S reels also got an updated drag knob, that not only looks better, but it functions better too. For an inexpensive freshwater reel, you really can't find anything that'll top Lamson's Liquid S reels! These are obviously great reels for for single hand rods, but we also like the -7+ and -9+ for two handed rods. The -7+ makes for a great trout Spey reel for 3 - 5wt two-handers, and the -9+ works great on 6 - 8wt two-handers.
