The staff at Pacific Fly Fishers is always on the lookout for the best products at every price. The Echo Carbon XL is a great example. It is an easy-casting rod, is very versatile, and comes with a lifetime original owner warranty at a terrific price. Echo Carbon XL fly rods feature an easy casting, medium-fast action that is ideal for beginning anglers but has plenty of punch to drive casts for long distances or into the wind when necessary. In addition to its nice casting characteristics, we've chosen the Echo Carbon XL rod for its great price and ultimate value. Fish this outfit for finesse dry fly fishing situations, nymphing with strike indicators, or throwing good-sized streamers into the wind.
We have combined the Echo Carbon XL rod with a TFO NXT Black Label II reel. TFO NXT Black Label reels are cast aluminum reels with a very smooth feel and smooth drags. They feature large arbors for fast line pickup and minimal line memory. They can be converted from left- to right-hand retrieve and have a pleasant incoming and outgoing click sound. We've paired the Echo Carbon XL 5wt rod with the TFO NXT Black Label reel for a perfect match.
To complete the outfit, we have also included the popular Scientific Anglers Boost floating fly line which is easy to cast, durable, and covers nearly all you need for trout fishing rivers and streams. We even include backing and an Umpqua Perform X Trout 9-foot 4X leader so your outfit is ready to fish when it arrives.
Take this outfit to just about any trout river in the country and you’re off and rolling on the right foot!
