Goldie - Articulated
First off, we should get some kind of award for even trying to take a photo of this fly and put it on a white background. It's not a good photo but it's not easy!! (Professional photographers feel free to chime in with tips).
The Goldie - Articulated is the white colored cousin to the olive Rusty Trombone. It has double hooks and articulated motion that, in conjunction with the marabou, has tons of swimming movement with a subtle touch of gold flash along the sides and from the gold conehead. Trout, char and bass crush the Goldie when fished on an aggressive swing or strip retrieve. Illegal to have double hooks where you're fishing? Just cut the back hook at the bend so the fly fishes the same but only has one hook on the front.
Size 4 hook up front with a size 6 rear hook. Total fly length of the Goldie - Articulated is approximately 3.25-inches.
