Skinny Smolt

Pacific Fly Fishers

The Skinny Smolt was created as an attractor baitfish pattern by Capt. Ben Zander, of PFF and long-time Puget Sound cutthroat guide. The idea is to have a very thin profile as fast moving baitfish do, yet have more flash than a natural. The blended flash coloring suggests a chum salmon smolt but can also be used as a general bait pattern. This fly is very bright in the water.

Overall length 2.5 inches. Size 8 hook.
